Professional Darts Players Association

We are delighted to announce that following a lengthy tender process, we have been awarded the highly prestigious position as Official Accountant Partner for the PDPA.

This exclusive nationwide role will provide the firm with direct access to all professional darts players on a one to one basis. We will be providing accounting and taxation advice to players in this highly prominent and fast growing sport. Adrian says “ We are absolutely thrilled to have been given the opportunity to present ourselves to the PDPA members at this most exciting time for darts. TV coverage is growing rapidly and all players need advice to help them maximise their position.

Rachel Fellows ACCA joins the Practice

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Rachel Fellows as our new Audit Manager.

Rachel qualified in 2001 and has worked in that capacity for 2 local firms as well as serving as a specialist tax manager for a firm of Accountants, working predominantly with Sporting and Entertainment personalities.

We wish her every success with the practice and are confident that she will help us grow in 2012 and beyond.

Rachel Clarke is made a Partner

We are absolutely delighted to announce that Rachel Clarke has been made a partner here at Griffiths & Pegg.

Rachel Clarke
Rachel joined Griffiths and Pegg in 1985 after attending King Edward VI College in Stourbridge. After initially qualifying as an AAT, she continued her training with the firm and became ACCA qualified in 1998.
Her main role with the firm has always been accounting, taxation and audit for small and medium sized companies. She will be extending this role in a partner capacity with the help of a new senior qualified ACCA assistant who starts on 1st February.

We would like to thank everyone who organised or attended the evening and here’s to another succesful event next year! The £7,500 raised on the night was fantastic and a tribute to all those who attended. We were a 60 team sell out with 6 weeks to go, which was simply unbelievable. Thank you!

The House of Lords – 2011

Dawn and Adrian were very honoured to represent the firm again at the Annual Breast Cancer Campaign Fundraisers’ Evening at The House of Lords.
The event was organised to thank the many corporate and personal fundraisers that support this fantastic charity. Griffiths & Pegg are well known to the employees of the charity, and they asked us to thank you all for helping us to raise £50,000 over the last 10 years, for this charity and for LFBC

After 20+ year’s loyal service, Jocelyn is finally hanging up her payroll boots and looking forward to a long retirement!

Adrian & Chris attended the ‘Leonard Curtis Table Football World Cup’ at the end of May. They fought off the challenge of 30 other teams, but were beaten 6:5 in the final – as they were presenting in Paraguay, it was a fine achievement!

We exhibited at the Women in Sandwell Enterprises event at The Public in West Bromwich on 21st September. It was an excellent networking and business generation day for ourselves, the 40+ exhibiters and 500+ attendees.

Brain Tumour UK

We would like to thank our clients and business contacts for their kind donations of in excess of £1,000, to The Family Fun Day at Stourbridge Rugby Club on Saturday 1st August. The event has been organised to raise much needed funds for Brain Tumour UK, in memory of our client Neil Gordon, who died in 2007. Your brilliant support is greatly appreciated.

David Turberfield

We are sad to report the death of David Turberfield, a partner in Griffiths & Pegg in the late 1960s/ early 1970s, on 15th June 2009. He was one of only 8 partners in our 61 year history.

2008 Breast Cancer Quiz

Dorrie Griffiths

We are very sad to report the passing of Dorrie Griffiths on 29th September 2008. She was the widow of our founder Fred Griffiths, and since his death 20 years ago, always remained a close friend of the practice.

We are extremely pleased to announce that our client AJT Equipment Limited, via its holding company Gordon Holdings Limited, have purchased Roberts Testing Equipment and Roberts Calibration of Savannah, Georgia, USA. After lengthy negotiations and meetings in Savannah between AJT Equipment, ourselves, Roberts Testing Equipment and their professional advisers, a deal was struck that will enable AJT Equipment to expand their worldwide operations.
